REDMONKEY RECORDS & FILMS is a recording studio and a video production station. The studio established since 2016 by Rukshan Sachintha aka RUKA MUSIC in Sri Lanka and first the space was used for personal preference and now expand as a video production station in Tokyo, Japan. Furthermore, Now they are expanding their focus towards wedding pre shoots and DJing.
Rukshan is a product of Carey college Colombo and he recently completed his higher studies in Information Technology and Japanese language. He has joined the industry in 2014 with his first single ‘Amme Ma Adare’ and he shared his thoughts ‘ First experience was bitter.
I was rejected by School and friends and nobody encouraged me’. And soon after he produced the lowest budget music video in the year of 2015 ‘ Dinawai Me Lowe’ just for 500 rupees in REDMONKEY RECORDS’ . And first it was rejected too by many broadcasting station due to low quality but later streamed on digital platforms, newspaper articles and live TV programs.
In the same year he did the first skilled drum cover in Sri Lanka for ‘Addicted to you’. Up to now he has released singles, drum covers, travel vlogs and music videos and his new single ‘ NAANE SEEMA’ in collaboration with Neo Navy is to be released soon in the YouTube channel ‘RUKA MUSIC’. And it’s been 4 years since he moved to Japan. After many part time jobs and immense sacrifices by 2019 he expand ‘REDMONKEY RECORDS & FILMS’ in Tokyo with both audio and video production.
“My goal is to have a complete studio by 2025 in Sri Lanka and entertain you guys in coming years with new trends and forms of good music.”
