Softlogic Holdings PLC today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Softlogic Retail Holdings (Private) Limited has entered into a Sale and Purchase Agreement with Agora Limited of Bangladesh to acquire a 100 percent stake in the company through a series of transactions, subject to the terms and conditions of the agreement and regulatory approvals.
Agora Limited, based in Dhaka, is a Bangladeshi retail superstore company that includes hypermarkets, inexpensive department shops, and grocery stores.
Softlogic Retail Holdings (Private) Limited leads the Softlogic Group’s dynamic and aggressive retail sector, using synergies from its multi-brand and multi-channel approach to improve Sri Lanka’s retail landscape.
Branded clothes, consumer electronics, mobile phone and distribution, supermarkets, and quick service restaurants are all part of Softlogic Retail Holdings (Private) Limited’s businesses.
